Sovereign people.Sovereign organisations.A sovereign society.
Three layers of the same capacity: sovereignty that is practised, not taken, until a society can govern itself.
A living network, without edges.
Wherever there’s a need and people who care about meeting it, an organisation grows. Each begins with someone’s purpose and passion, finds the others it can serve, and is served in return. No single person owns the whole. Together they keep a society fed, housed, well and whole, from within.
- The hard work. Getting things done: food, water and power, homes, health, safety, money and law.
- The soft work. Holding the people who do it: care, learning, belonging, voice, resolving conflict, celebration.
- Free to begin. Anyone can start what they care about, and find whoever needs it.
Swipe to see the whole wheel.
No longer a workforce. A force for life.
Work isn’t something we sell our hours to. It’s how we give what we love to the people who need it. People, purpose and passion, turned towards each other.
For people
We do what we love, for the good of others. We’re known for who we are rather than the role we fill, and free to bring all of it.
For organisations
Each one grows from a purpose its people share. It lives as long as it serves, and gives what it learned to whatever grows next.
For society
Its needs are met from within, by many hands. Power is spread so widely that no one can hold it all, and so close that everyone can use it.
We live in a world where it’s exciting to wake up each morning.
Not because every day is easy. Because every day is ours.
This is the golden age.
The machines carry survival: the admin, the routine, the endless keeping-things-running. They took the meaning we once borrowed from our jobs, and handed back what was always ours.
- To sense.
- To care.
- To create.
- To choose.
- To belong.
Being human isn’t something we fit around the work. It is the work.
“I am nothing without you. For I am you. I am you collectively, created by you, guided by you.”The Invitation, The Grove speaking
We are the sparks in The Grove.
The machines carry the weight. People carry the spark.
The spark
The will to begin. The idea that won’t leave you alone, and the courage to follow it.
The sensing organs
We feel what’s needed before anyone has named it, and we say so.
The heart
We choose together, with care for everyone our choices touch.
Every organisation is alive because its people are. Together, we make a future worth waking up to.
We didn’t tear the tower down. We built around it.
Groves seeded groves. A bakery seeded a kitchen, the kitchen a school, the school a clinic nobody rules.
One by one, people found they’d rather give themselves to something they chose than sell themselves to something they didn’t.
The towers are still standing. Fewer of us need them.
Under the hood
Want to know why it’s built this way?
How an organisation in The Grove senses, leans, grows, dies off, automates and holds its people. Why there’s no throne, why nobody can strip it, and what goes wrong without each part. The long read, for anyone who wants to look underneath.
Flow is the new force.
Unfolding is the new invention.
Collaboration is the new competition.
Make the future something to look forward to.
We’re bringing The Grove into the world because this is the world we want to wake up in. Come and grow it with us.
One note now, and nothing more until there’s a seat.
